behold my poor attempt at korra and haigakura fan art such beauty
I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO UNDERCUT THING WHATEVER. here’s a wall of boring text.
ok i’m just gonna talk about these guys for a bit. originally i referred to their story as Open Book, so i’m just gonna go back to that.
benjamin velazquez, rosalyn wentworth, and trevor brown. ben and trevor went to the same elementary school together and were really close back then. once joining high school they slowly grew apart. however, towards the end of senior year they randomly start bumping into each other a lot and start to wonder why they ever lost touch. RE-KINDLED FRIENDSHIP made bittersweet because graduation is close on the horizon.
rose is cool okay. she’s a member of the rotc and takes hip hop dance lessons outside of class. (ben plays baseball and trevor sings in choir and a cappella (they sing a lot of barbershop isn’t that neat)). rose befriended benjamin at the end of sophomore year and became really close since then. THEY LIKE EACH OTHER. This is mutual information by senior year. People (esp. trev) always ask why the hell they’re not dating yet and at this point they just respond with the fact that graduation is soon and school’s almost over and they won’t be going to the same uni etc etc. Eventually, really late into the final semester, they start going out (essentially nothing changes). BITTER SWEET ROMANCE.
BASICALLY its a story about what happens at the end of high school. Who do you make the effort to keep in touch with? Do you hold on to your relationships or let them go?
I also have another story of other characters within this same world. It’s about similar issues but mores about sports. When you play a sport all through out high school but go to college and you’re not good enough, or there’s no club/intramural, or you just lose the passion for it. I think a lot of people go through this (I did with tennis. Now I hardly play boo) and its sad.
